Privacy policy

I will be the first to admit that I have muttered more than once, "I hate money."

I do.

But I have a feeling this deep dislike stems from lack of money, the inability to pay bills, and the stress this lack creates. Money is a necessity in life that few of us can do without.

And day-working-cowboy-preacher-wages don't leave us rolling in the dough, so to speak. As a stay at home mom with two young children, this blog, writing and sharing ideas, tips and providing affiliate links, ads and sponsored posts are my way to help my family pay our bills.

But that's only the beginning! I want anything I promote to be of value to you as well. I will never recommend anything that I don't agree with, personally use, or think would bless you.

Here's what you need to know...

So here are a few ways that I can earn an income:

1) Affiliate links. I will let you know about as they happen. Basically, that means that there might be a link to a product on my page, that if you click through and buy it, I will make a small commission.

2) Ads on my website. This is a slightly tricky area because these will not always be products or services that I agree with. Many of them are determined by the reader’s search patterns (cookies are used by Google and other third-party vendors*), so hopefully that means they won’t be too bad.  If a truly offensive one pops up, let me know.

3) Sponsored posts. Occasionally I may write an entire post for which I am being compensated in the form of goods, services, or money. In that case, however, the opinion given will be entirely my own. And I am very fallible, so you will want to verify any claims or facts or statistics or anything else that I state with your own research. But I will always let you know on the post itself if it has been sponsored.

4) Selling in my online shop. I sell books and products through my shop located at shop.alifeofheritage.com. My physical books are shipped my my hometown in Lewistown, MT.

The FCC has pretty clear guidelines about letting readers know about the forms of marketing that they are being exposed to. I want to abide by those guidelines because I want you to be able to believe what I say and to enjoy your time on my blog. Part of that enjoyment is you being able to relax and know that I WILL inform you of whatever you need to know.
